Designer's Diner | Membership Application

Thank You for your interest in Designer's DIner. The Diner is a community where Designers and Design Appreciators can come to learn, be inspired, kick back and enjoy some good company. There are no membership fees to join at this time.

We are currently taking applications for membership to help determine where our members will best fit into the community. The community is divided up into 3 sections: one for the Regular Joe, one for the Professional and one for the Intern. This is a members only community with different levels of privacy. Membership
Registration to this forum is free! We do reserve the right to instate membership fees at a later date. Anonymous Usernames are not allowed. You must register with your first and last name. Persons attempting to register
with an anonymous username will not be approved for membership. We reserve to right to refuse membership to anyone for any reason.

Messages
Do not post any messages, images or graphics that are obscene, vulgar, sexually oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owner, administrators or moderators of Designer’s Diner reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Professionalism
The Diner is a place for learning and inspiration for designers of all skill levels. Be professional and respective to all of our members. This includes providing constructive criticisms. Be mindful that you are conversing with other people with individual thoughts and feelings. That little Golden Rule applies to everyone.

Privacy
While most of The Diner is private, a few sections are open to the general public. Please refrain from discussing client relations, design trade secrets, pricing, marketing or other sensitive materials in open forums. Open forums include Diner Talk and Open Kitchen. Please do not share, reproduce, distribute or display content obtained from The Diner.

Fundraising
We cannot allow heart-tugging fundraising on this forum as it creates awkward situations and makes members feel obligated to donate. Fundraising should be conducted on your own site, blog or other venue. Fundraising threads will be removed from the board. Furthermore, fundraising links in signatures will also be removed.

Advertising
Please do not post business advertisements, conduct business transactions or customer support in The Diner. Professional Designers may post a simple advertisement with a link to their portfolio and description of services offered in the Pro Sampler Forum.

Grievances
Please refrain from airing your personal and / or professional grievances in the forums. Try to work those things out in private first. You may however, post constructive reviews of industry products and or services in the appropriate forum.

Signatures
Let's try to keep signatures clean and simple... after all, this is a forum promoting good design. Please refrain from advertising products or services, inappropriate language, extreme special character usage (!!!!!!), obnoxiously large / colorful text, and all images, graphics or animations. An administrator or moderator will edit all signatures not abiding by the signature rules.

Sensitive Topics
While The Diner does have off topic sections it is primarily dedicated to graphic design and not sticky topics like religion or politics. Please refrain from discussing such sensitive topics in the forums.

Miscellaneous
We reserve the right to edit or amend these rules at any time without.
